Bibliometric and Informetric Research Group (BIRG)
Established in 1998 at the University of New South Wales (Australia) the group has a research focus within the theoretical frameworks of scientometrics, and in particular sociological aspects of scholarly communication, information seeking behaviour, information retrieval, citer motivation, and the use and flow of information in the web environment. Information Science Research Institute (ISRI)
